Thank you for the question. Yes, I see joy and hope as being interconnected, and are part of a continuum of emotions that both propel and ground us and bring us light. I see joy as a more deeply connected to our spirits and ourselves. It is steps beyond hope and it is more inherent, while hope is (or can be) fleeting and about expectation rather than presence.
